Abstract
Securities and shareholders' litigation is already building an eventful year ahead. The past year has shown a higher record of new federal securities fraud class actions filed and this trend is continuing up until now. The nearly doubled number of filed cases may have been due to the decisions made by the Delaware Court of Chancery that critically limits the ability of stockholders to resolve breach of fiduciary duty claims against directors in the M&A context.
With the current legal landscape, companies should keep themselves in the know of the recent trends and court ruling developments to avoid potential risks and pitfalls.
In this LIVE Webcast, business litigation attorneys Zheyao Li (Seyfarth Shaw) and Steven Kaufhold (Kaufhold Gaskin) will provide the audience with an in-depth analysis of the fundamentals as well as the recent developments in securities and shareholder litigation. Speakers will present the important issues surrounding this area of law. As experts, they will also provide the audience with practical strategies in dealing with the continuous evolving legal climate and what to expect in the year ahead.
