Web design expert Zengenuity rallies behind efforts to promote and advance open source platform CiviCRM by sponsoring this year's gathering of CiviCRM community at a conference slated next month in Chicago.
- Ann Arbor, MI (1888PressRelease) February 04, 2011 - Inspired by the growth of the CiviCRM community, leading Drupal website developer Zengenuity recently announced its support for the upcoming conference of users, developers, and implementers of CiviCRM open source software.
CiviCon Chicago 2011, the annual event to be held in Downtown Chicago on March 7th, will feature top-notch speakers leading interactive discussions on the future of the platform, which supports a broad range of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.
"Our company's support of CiviCon 2011 is anchored in the broader goal of helping this community promote and advance the benefits of CiviCRM to a larger audience," Wayne Eaker, director and chief developer of Zengenuity said in a statement.
Released in 2005, CiviCRM is a set of open source software modules designed for non-profit, non-governmental, and advocacy groups so they can easily manage information about volunteers, activists, and donors and event attendees.
CiviCRM's powerful modules enable advanced constituent tracking, including contributions (CiviContribute), events (CiviEvent), member lists (CiviMember) and the generation of bulk mailings (CiviMail) and the operating reports (CiviReport).
CiviCRM is currently being used for the fundraising activities by many large NGOs, including Amnesty International, Creative Commons, Free Software Foundation, and the Wikimedia Foundation. CiviCRM is designed to work alongside the Drupal open source web content management system (CMS). Drupal is a free software package that allows anyone to easily publish, manage and organize a wide variety of website content.
Currently, hundreds of thousands of people and organizations use Drupal to power an endless variety of sites.
Eaker, whose company specializes in developing websites using Drupal and CiviCRM, stressed that the conference "affords excellent opportunity for those working with CiviCRM highlight best practices and map out steps to enable the software further enhance organizational relationships."
Zengenuity offers a complete range of web solutions including web design, development, search engine optimization (SEO), e-commerce and analytics, as well as Drupal training and support.
CiviCon 2011 is scheduled just ahead of DrupalCon, which starts the following day in Chicago, allowing participants to take advantage of both important conferences.
Organizers of the CiviCon have yet to finalize the agenda of the event, but initially it will include workshops and sessions geared at discussing the software and its future.
