Zambezi Portland Cement Factory Seals 2014 With A Big Leap
Zambezi Portland Cement factory has successfully achieved 130% of its forecasted output for the year 2014, a surplus of 1, 00, 000 tonnes of cement. The actual output for the year 2014 was recorded as 4, 73, 985 tonnes.
- (1888PressRelease) March 05, 2015 - Zambia - Making it to the headlines in Zambia and the whole of Africa is the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. According to Zambia Daily Mail, the Zambezi Portland Cement factory has registered a surplus of 1, 00, 000 of cement for the year 2014. The estimated production was close to 3, 60, 000 tonnes a year with a daily output capacity of 1, 000 tonnes per day. The actual output for the year 2014 was recorded as 4, 73, 985 tonnes.
It is the first time in Africa that the Zambezi Portland Cement has successfully achieved almost 130% of its forecasted output. The additional output was required to facilitate the Ndola Housing Project where a total of 71 houses was built by the Mahtani Group of Companies. In context of the present performance report of ZPC, a member of Mahtani Group of Companies stated, "Our dream is to make the Zambezi Portland Cement factory as one of the largest cement producer worldwide. This year's report has already given ZPC a significant place in Africa and we are looking forward to move ahead with greater expansion plans in 2015."
In addition to the existing news, Dr. Mahtani has also announced to build a block making facility which is going to offer 8000 bricks daily. The intent to speed up the development activities in Zambia and the rest of Africa.
