Zahra Universe Becomes African Royalty
American pop artist Zahra Universe is honored to become a princess in Cameroon, Africa while on location shooting her upcoming music video "Sela-Sela (Dance Together)" with Wes Madiko.
- (1888PressRelease) July 18, 2010 - While on location shooting her upcoming video with Wes Madiko for "Sela-Sela (Dance Together)", Zahra Universe was honored to be given the title of Princess in Cameroon. The ceremony was held in the historical village of Bafut with a traditional celebration of dancing, singing, and food. Wes Madiko was also honored along with Zahra for their upcoming song singing the joys of coming together for peaceful celebration.
Living up to the royal title, Zahra will be working to expose the rich history and culture of Bafut as an example of an African community with living heritage. "I am so honored," Zahra says, "to have been given this title and I want to take this opportunity to expose many aspects of African culture and how it relates to the rest of the world.
