Z'tejas "Spices" Up The Season With New Winter Menu
Southwestern Meatloaf, Ossobuco & Other Winter Fare Highlighted.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 30, 2011 - Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill at South Coast Plaza is rolling out its new seasonal menu December 6, "spicing" up the winter months with its unique blend of comfort food with a California kick. Among the new items are a southwestern meatloaf featuring a blend of beef and pork with a spicy kick and served with au gratin potatoes, a winter vegetable medley and topped with a sweet onion herb demi-glaze and crispy onion rings; blackened chicken with boursin crab cake served with au gratin potatoes, a winter vegetable medley and chipotle tomato butter sauce.
Executive Chef Daniel Stevens announced several other new items including a grown-up grilled cheese & tomato basil soup prepared with seasoned and thinly sliced smoked roasted beef simmered with chipotle horseradish au jus, layered with Asadero, Jack & Parmesan cheeses; striped bass tacos with pickled vegetables in corn tortillas topped with avocado and served with Southwestern slaw, sweet potato chips and green chile aioli; lightly fried tempura avocado strips served with julienne slaw of cucumber, red onion, red bell pepper and mango drizzled with green chile aioli and topped with sesame seeds; jalapeno cornbread stuffed striped bass baked until flaky with brown butter sauce, served with au gratin potatoes and a sautéed squash medley; and achiote braised pork ossobuco served bone-in atop a bed of pumpkin gnocci with seasoned fried julienne vegetables.
The new Z'Tejas' winter menu prices range from $8.95 to $23.95.
Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill offers a wide array of fresh, flavorful and innovative menu items inspired by culinary influences from Louisiana, Texas, California and Mexico.
