Youfit Raising Money 'For The Kids' With Youfit Miracle Miles
Youfit Health Clubs to host a nationwide event benefitting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) October 25, 2013 - On October 27, Youfit Health Clubs is opening all clubs to the public for "Youfit Miracle Miles", a nationwide event benefitting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and promoting the adoption of an active lifestyle.
The event is part of Youfit's partnership with the Miracle Marathon, a fundraising effort in which participants commit to walking or running a mile a day (or exercising an equivalent amount) until Oct. 26 while raising money from supportive family and friends. As the campaign started Oct. 1, this would equal a marathon. In conjunction, Youfit is staging its own national campaign, called Youfit Miracle Miles, in which the 58 Youfit clubs across the country are collecting donations for the Miracle Marathon and matching every donation, up to $27,200.
On the final day of the Miracle Marathon, October 27, Youfit invites all staff, members, friends and the entire community, to walk an extra mile for the kids. Youfit will host a special event at all of its clubs that day, in which participants will walk that extra mile at 2:27 p.m. local time (or exercise for 20 minutes), to raise more money.
Everyone who joins a Youfit club that day will be able to take advantage of a $1 down enrollment special. They will have the opportunity to donate to the cause and be joined by people all over the nation, who will gather to walk one more mile, at precisely 2:27 p.m. in their local time zones.
"We like to give back to the communities in which we do business," says Rick Berks, Founder/President of Youfit. "And it's hard to think of a worthier cause than this one."
All through the month, Youfit has been encouraging its members around the country to participate.
"We'd love for our communities to get involved in helping to raise money for these kids," Rick Berks says. "And Oct. 27 - when we do the final mile - is going to be a very special event for the community, but even more special for the children and families who benefit from the fundraiser."
