    F1 in Schools World Finals
The F1 in Schools World Finals 2019 will look to bring together around 60 teams from about 25 countries. The competition days will be held on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The event will begin on Sunday, on the 24th of November, about a week before the race. The event will take place on the initial three days of the competition. The conclusion of the event will take place with a glitzy Awards Celebration and Dinner that will be hosted at the circuit itself on the 27th of November. Just like people who have bought Formula 1 2019 Tickets, The World Finalists will receive the opportunity to enjoy the Grand Prix over the remaining four days (as per event terms and conditions).

The F1 in Schools World Finals has been hosted by Abu Dhabi on two previous occasions. During both of these occasions (2012 and 2014), the event was held at Ferrari World. With the event being an expanded one for 2019, the venue has been moved to Yas Island. The accommodation will be arranged for 300 students and their pit displays. Also, the F1 in Schools 20m race track and the judging areas will be considered.

The competition is a test of skills that deals with multiple disciplines. The disciplines include management, design, maths, engineering, technology, and science. The teams are analogous to Formula One in real life. Exactly like what happens in a Formula 1 team, the work involves racing, testing, and designing of a miniature F1 car with sponsorship, marketing and brand programmes. Apart from the selling of Formula 1 2019 Tickets, one will see most of the activities of the F1 sport being replicated at the school level. The work is presented to a panel of judges with over 45 specialists from industry, education and Formula 1. The judges evaluate the different aspects of the students’ work.

The central part of F1 in Schools World Finals is the racing car, which is a detailed model that is designed and built according to detailed rules and regulations by team members that use 3D CAD/CAM software. Compressed air is used to propel the models along a track measuring 20 m. The current world record stands at 0.916 seconds, at a speed of 48.8 mph which was set at the 2016 World Finals by an Australian team.

The event marks the 10th anniversary of their partnership with Yas Marina Circuit.
The students participating hold the potential to become future Formula 1 team managers and marketers of the future. Gaining this experience first-hand will help them create memories for a lifetime.

The F1 in Schools World Finals 2019 is supported by Formula 1. The event has a partnership with Denford Ltd and Autodesk, UCL Engineering, University of London, City, The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and Yas Marina Circuit.
