HSS saw blades, also known as cold saws, are used to cut ferrous and non-ferrous metal materials. High-speed steel (HSS) consists of carbon (C), tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr), and vanadium (V), and can be alloyed with additional cobalt.

Cermet is a special product obtained through synthesizing ceramic dust, silicon carbides, and metal oxides that are resistant to the highest temperatures, such as chrome, cobalt, nickel, titanium, aluminum, and tungsten. Cermet is a material with a hardness between silicon carbide and diamond. It is very resistant to high cutting temperatures and is able to withstand extremely high machining rates. Cermet generates an excellent surface finish on the cut material and an extra-long tool life.
HM DIN saw blades are manufactured without a hub, with very low parallelism, and feature teeth according to norm Din 1837 A (tooth form A industrial standard) and Din 1838 B (tooth B form). They grind all the surfaces with mirror finishing in order to obtain the best cutting results. The only carbide they use for the saws is an extra-fine grain, manufactured by a Swiss producer.
The circular knives are usually sharpened like a linear blade knife, and can be with or without teeth depending on the materials they have to cut. Technical advances in blade geometry and the experience that they have acquired across several applications show that for some materials a specific tooth type or a particular notch considerably increases cutting performance. They normally manufacture knives to specific customer designs.
