XTM-GROUP Help Nature Fund Distributes $2 million
Wildlife Asian Society, The Nature Conservancy Forum and Wildlife Forest Fund are among the more than 70 nonprofit organizations to benefit from the largest annual grants distribution to date.
- (1888PressRelease) January 24, 2013 - XTM-GROUP Help Nature Fund awarded $2 million to conservation projects in Asia, the highest amount ever contributed in a single year. This year's grant recipients, who include notable conservation organizations like are helping to preserve habitats, protect endangered species, foster kids' connections to nature and ensure future generations can enjoy wildlife and wild places.

Highlights of the nearly 100 projects supported include:
"Shorebird Conservation in Java": Creating environmental education opportunities for communities on the importance of migratory shorebird nesting sites.
"Release of Wild Born Mandrills": Re-introducing mandrills into the wild
"Establishment of the New bird population": Increasing population of the red-cockaded woodpecker
"Panda Conservation Goes to School": Organizing education and outreach activities among local communities in Asia to protect the pandas.
More than 250 projects proposals were submitted and reviewed. The programs selected for funding must address a critical conservation need, offer education and community engagement, an ability to influence decision makers and solid scientific investigation.
