XJTAG champions 'collaborative' Mega UK Expo 2012
Eight manufacturing shows co-located at the NEC for Mega UK Expo 2012. Critical mass key to attracting interest from overseas investors.
- (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2012 - The collaborative approach of the Mega UK Expo is the key to refocusing international interest in UK Research and Development (R&D), according to Simon Payne CEO XJTAG.
The NEC event (18-19 April) will this year host eight co-located exhibitions that cover a range of industries, including automation and robotics, contract manufacturing, design, CAD/CAM, rapid manufacturing, rapid prototyping, measurement, inspection, assembly, power supplies, sensors and test.
XJTAG will be exhibiting at National Electronics Week (NEW) - one of the eight exhibitions at the Mega UK Expo, which XJTAG is proud to support and sponsor.
"The UK punches well above its weight, with some of the most successful international businesses, products and brands developed here," said Simon Payne, CEO of XJTAG. "But it has suffered in the past because the technology industry tends to be fragmented with each sector putting on a small show that, understandably, struggles to attract overseas visitors.
"The Mega UK Expo represents a fantastic opportunity for exhibitors and visitors alike, putting the UK electronics/manufacturing industry back on the international events calendar, and attracting significant overseas interest."
Claire Saunders, Director of National Electronics Week, added: "The gathering of eight industry events not only offers visitors a great opportunity to see the sheer volume and capabilities of UK manufacturing, but it offers exhibitors the chance to meet new contacts and build business relationships in related markets. NEW has a wider exhibitor list than we have previously seen and exhibitors are making a great effort to show a variant of capabilities, products and services - this really is one not to miss."
MACH, one of the shows co-located alongside NEW: UK, is celebrating 100 years of UK manufacturing this year. Last year, MACH alone attracted 450+ exhibiting companies, and 20,000+ visitors.
NEW and MACH will be at the NEC alongside Independent Power Energy and Electricity, Electrex, Drives and Controls, Air-Tech, IFPEX, and Plant and Asset Management.
XJTAG will be demonstrating its leading boundary scan software at NEW, Stand 113.
