- (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2019 - Xavier Augustin, Founder and CEO of Y-Axis Overseas Careers, has been featured in the July edition of Business Today. Mr Augustin has been the alumnus of two of the most reputed Universities in the US-Harvard Business School and the University of South Carolina.
While working in California, Mr Augustin was witness to how the US transitioned itself to capitalize on the new IT revolution. India had become one of the top source countries for tech talent in the US by the late 90s. He was witness to the struggles of these Indians on H1Bs and how they succeeded in transforming not only their own lives but also their family and community.
Mr Augustin’s stint in the US, first as an MBA student and then as a technical recruiter motivated him to create Global Indians. His MIBS program from the University of South Carolina and his OPM Program from Harvard honed his managerial and entrepreneurial skills. He founded Y-Axis Overseas Careers in 1999 to help skilled professionals access opportunities overseas.
Y-Axis Overseas Careers now has over 40 domestic and international offices spread across India, Australia and the UAE. It is now the foremost choice among individuals seeking to live, work, study and settle abroad.
Y-Axis has counselled more than 2 million people in the last 20 years and helped thousands achieve their dreams of pursuing a career abroad. Today, Y-Axis employs more than 1100 Consultants who handle almost 1 enquiry every minute. These Consultants create nearly 10,000 clients every month of professionals, businessmen and students who wish to build a career abroad.
Y-Axis started off as a means for Indian techies to find opportunities in the US. However, it has now evolved to be much more and caters to a far broader clientele. Their international journey begins with free counselling branching out to services which are relevant to the particular client.
Y-Axis is a one-stop shop providing pre and post-immigration services to the client. Apart from that it also offers Visa Services, Resume Writing & Marketing, English language coaching, Aptitude test coaching, University admissions, placements and Concierge Services. Y-Axis is one of the largest users of Salesforce.com in India. It also uses Genesys to handle the huge number of inquiries that it receives every day.
The leadership capability of Y-Axis has grown along with the growth of the organization. Y-Axis is staffed by talented men and women who have grown through the ranks. Y-Axis also employs the largest number of females in the career counselling sector.
Mr Augustin’s personal interest in education and global access has created the Y-Axis Foundation. One of the CSR activities of this foundation is “Know More School” which provides computer labs and digital education to poor schools. Another initiative is the US Education Advisory Centre which in collaboration with the US Embassy in India provides free services to Indian students wishing to study in the US.
Mr Augustin, in the next growth phase, want to bring in external fund partners to help fuel his plans. People now are increasingly more interested to work abroad and have more brand awareness. Xavier Augustin, thus, is confident that Y-Axis will remain the No. 1 choice for Indians who wish to fulfil their dreams abroad.
