  • Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) April 12, 2012 - The Township of Wyckoff Planning Board has scheduled a special town hall meeting on Monday, April 23, at 7 p.m., to hear public comment on the proposed development of a ShopRite supermarket on the corner of Greenwood and Wyckoff avenues. For over 18 months, the Board has been hearing expert testimony on behalf of the applicant, Inserra Supermarkets, as well as opposing testimony from experts representing the owners of the adjacent Boulder Run shopping center and its tenant, Stop & Shop.

April 23rd has been designated as an important opportunity for Wyckoff residents to voice their opinions before the Board votes on the ShopRite application. The meeting will take place at Wyckoff Memorial Town Hall, 340 Franklin Avenue.

The current ShopRite of Wyckoff site plan, which was revised to comply with recommendations from the Township, calls for a 62,042-square-foot structure to replace a distressed former supermarket in the heart of Wyckoff's central business district. Over the course of the application, Inserra has addressed traffic and safety concerns, architectural and landscaping improvements, drainage issues, and parking regulations.
