World Of Tomorrow Studios And DB Media Announce Pre-production Of A New Western Film, Gentlemen Gunfighters
Patricia Vonne, Raul Malo, Eric Reinholt, Shy Pilgreen, Venda D'Abato and Rachel Verret have joined the cast of an Epic Western Adventure produced by Patrick Durham, David Pedrazine and Anne Beck.
- San Antonio, TX (1888PressRelease) December 28, 2010 - Actress/singer and songwriter Patricia Vonne (Machete, Spy Kids, Sin City, Desperado) has signed on to play Sarah Fisher in the upcoming production "Gentlemen Gunfighters," the next film from the 2010 New York Independent Film Festival Best Science Fiction Film winner R. Christian Anderson. The film, written by D. R. Pedraza ("The Solomon Chronicles: Sangre del Unico"), will lens in the Texas cities of Austin, San Antonio, Liberty Hill, Betran, Boerne an Helotes.
Vonne stars as the wife of legendary Uvalde County Sheriff John King Fisher who befriends the English Marshal from Austin, Texas, Ben Thompson. Thompson, a lethel gunfighter and trusted friend to such characters of western lore as Doc Holiday, Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp and Buffalo Bill Cody, was also at odds with the likes of James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok, John Peters Ringo "Johnny Ringo," and John Wesley Hardin.
Gentlemen Gunfighters chronicles the life of an Englishman whose deeds, whether good or bad, have endured in Western lore and ignited the imagination of those who share his ideals of Cowboy Justice.
Ben Thompson, born in England, migrates with his family to Texas in the Spring of 1851. He joins the Confederacy to protect his beloved State and eventually becomes Marshal of Austin. The Marshall finds himself in a skirmish with a prominent San Antonio businessman who ends up dead. Acquitted of murder and chased out of town, he is hailed a hero in Austin. Not knowing why, Ben begins trying to put his life in order, visiting those friends he is closest to. Upon his later return to San Antonio with his good friend John King Fisher and his wife Sarah Fisher, he attempts to make peace but encounters those who would demand their own brand of justice.
Joining Vonne is Grammy AwardŽ winner Raul Malo (All The Pretty Horses)as Reyes; Eric Reinholt (Murder By The Book, The Devil Inside, Upcoming: Cross, Wedding Day, Wish Wizard) as Johnny Ringo; Shy Pilgreen (Defcon 2012, Home Wrecker)as Sarah Harper Jones; Rachel Verret (Throwing Stones-TV series)as Amanda Fisher; Steve Schmidt (Palo Pinto Gold) as Sheriff Chauncey Whitney; Venda D'Abato as Katie Templeton; Nunie Rubio as The Sergeant; Karla Daniella Pena as Jeanne the Sultry Girl; Michael Guerra as the Bajo Sexto Player and newcomer Kathy Hartman as Catherine Thompson.
R. Christian Anderson directs the project from a script by D. R. Pedraza (author of the Historical Fiction Novel "The Solomon Chronicles: Sangre del Unico"). Anderson has assembled a team of experts including Ryan E. Walters (Tarts, Fools and the G-Men, Blackstar Warrior) as its cinematographer; Nancy J. Robinson (Ride With The Devil, The Confederate States of America, Last Will) as its costume designer and Michelle Chung (After Hours, The Devils Trade, Aftershock-History Channel Special) as its Key makeup artist.
The films soundtrack will be a who's who of Texas Music Royalty as four Grammy AwardŽ Winners; Los Lonely Boys, The Texas Tornados, Raul Malo and Joe Reyes join The Boxmasters, Patricia Vonne, Shawn Sahm, Kimberly Freeman, Nunie Rubio and Mitch Webb & the Swindles on the soundtrack. The Soundtrack will be produced by Shawn Sham, son of Texas Music Legend Doug Sahm.
World of Tomorrow Studios, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, has produced a number of films, including the 2010 New York Independent Film Festival Best Science Fiction Film Award for "Defcon 2012". DB Media, based in San Antonio, Texas, is the home of author D. R. Pedraza who penned the Historical Fiction novel The Solomon Chronicles: Sangre del Unico.
