World Class Speakers To Address October 11 Cardinus Forum In Aberdeen
ONE of the world's leading health and safety experts will address the Cardinus Personnel Safety and Engagement Forum in Aberdeen on Thursday October 11, 2012.

Dr Kathryn Mearns has lectured in psychology at the University of Aberdeen. She holds an adjunct professorship in Human Factors/Organizational Psychology at the University of Bergen. Her research interests include human factors in industrial safety, safety culture and climate, safety leadership, trust, risk perception and psychological aspects of workplace well-being.
Dr Mearns is former editor-in-chief for Safety Science and a member of the Society for Risk Analysis. She has worked on a range of projects in the offshore industry, shipping, air traffic control and power generation.
Also at the Cardinus forum, Mark Preston, head of safety consultancy at Cardinus Risk Management, will present The effect of litigation on health and safety management. Mark will examine the impact prosecutions are having on how organisations are managing risk.
Ergonomics experts Guy Osmond of Osmond Ergonomics and Hugo Bos from BakkerElkhuizen will discuss ideas and tools for the support and management of smart working concepts. This will include mobile staff, 'hot desking' and working from home - all growing trends.
This free to attend forum provides a platform for exploring these topics and the increasing impact they are having on safety management. It will be of interest to facilities managers, health and safety managers and any management personnel directly involved in change programmes.
