2016 was a winning streak with 11 prestigious awards rolling in almost every month since June including biggest and best mortgage and insurance adviser awards.
The Deloitte Fast50 award 2016 was the crowning glory. Global Finance won the award for being the fastest growing Mature Business in Auckland and Upper North Island. The award recognizes business in any industry that are more than 15 years old.
Another one of the most prestigious awards is the Westpac Auckland Business Awards organized by Auckland Chambers of Commerce and Auckland Council’s economic development agency, ATEED.
Here, Global Finance won Excellence in Marketing award 2016 for Auckland South. The award is for building superior client engagement and loyalty through effective communication using online and traditional media channels. Judges commended the use of technology, online marketing and balancing both science and the art of marketing for effective customer engagement. They also commended Global Finance for building a loyal customer base that not only provides repeat business but also refer it to their friends and family.
It was also a finalist in the following categories:
* Innovation—for its Interest Saver Plan that has helped homeowners save many thousands of dollars in unnecessary interest on their mortgage. Since 1999, it is estimated by Global Finance to have helped its customers potentially save more than $100 million in interest cost over the life of their mortgages.

These awards back up their Westpac Auckland Business Award for Excellence in Customer Service Delivery in 2015.
For the third time in a row, it won NZ’s top mortgage adviser awards from both ANZ Bank and ASB Banks. Interestingly, while ANZ is reportedly the biggest mortgage lender in NZ, ASB Bank is the biggest in Auckland.
Global Finance was announced by ANZ Bank as a winner of 2 awards - Mortgage Adviser of the Year 2016 and Platinum Business Partner of the Year 2016 (for production volume of more than $200m in a year). It has been winning the top mortgage adviser awards from ANZ Bank for 5 years running:

From ASB Bank it won the ‘Number One Broker for New Money Advanced Award’ 3 years running – from 2014 to 2016. It is again for being the biggest mortgage adviser in NZ.
At the BNZ INLIBA awards, Global Finance won the Best Financial Adviser awards for both Mortgage & Insurance. It had won the award last year as well. These awards were based on quality of advice, innovation and benefit to clients. Once again, the Interest Saver Plan was recognized for helping home owners save thousands of dollars in unnecessary interest.
Global Finance was also recognized by AIA insurance for being its NZ’s largest life and personal risk insurance adviser for 8 years running including 2016.
The 2016 awards season started with Ajay Kumar, the founder director of Global Finance winning the much coveted Mortgage Adviser of Year 2016 award from the Professional Advisers Association (PAA). PAA is a leading NZ industry association of financial advisers. Eminent judges scored the nominees across a range of criteria through a thorough assessment of their working files, advice process. The process included in depth interviews of the nominees by the judges.
The PAA awards were instituted to recognise members of the PAA who demonstrate the founding values of the Association, namely client advocacy, diligence in their work, compliance with relevant regulations and professional
development.
PAA Judges’ comments: “Ajay realised many years ago that the value he could add over and above getting a client a mortgage was helping them pay it off faster. He designed his own Interest Saver Plan (17) years ago and started using it with great success. Since then he has built his own IT platform to run it and all his processes and still today is using it himself to help clients achieve their dreams.”
