After almost fifteen years of benefit and exchange administration, the senior management team at Workable Solutions is offering their expertise as a complimentary resource to state government leaders and decision-makers during the coming months of health insurance exchange implementation.

The law requires that states have exchanges operational by January 1, 2014.
Workable Solutions administers several open choice benefit programs. Since 1999, the company has been the sole administrator of HealthPass New York, a not-for-profit exchange for small businesses. Launched through a unique collaboration between the City of New York and the New York Business Group on Health, the HealthPass choice model offers more than 20 different medical options from four insurance carriers, two dental plans and a bundled security product.
"There's no manual for how to set up these complex operations and very few people have any real world experience," says Workable Solutions' CEO Terry McCorvie. "That's why we decided to share what we've learned since we started administering exchanges back in the 1990s. McCorvie served as executive director of the Orlando and Jacksonville Community Health Purchasing Alliances (CHPA) in the mid to late '90s and knows firsthand the impact market forces can have on the success of the program. In addition to McCorvie, senior management includes CIO Ray West, COO Steve Bell and CFO Mark Coleman, all of whom have over ten years of benefit administration experience.
