Memphis, TN-AR-MS (1888PressRelease) February 14, 2016 - The Moriah Fields, Inc Non-Profit Missions Organization has named Roy (Woody) Degan to the position of Executive Director, according to Donovan Johnson, spokesperson for the board of directors.
Moriah Fields' mission is to lift up the homeless and otherwise underprivileged citizens of our community by helping them to locate community services, rehabilitation, housing, educational opportunities, and employment.
For nearly 20 years Woody Degan has been a beacon in the Memphis and mid-South community, by assisting many homeless in our community. Through several of his own companies and contacts, Degan often employs these individuals in low skilled labor work as a door opener to assessing the set-backs, challenges, and obstacles to rehabilitation and moving forward.
"I'm honored to have our work confirmed by being trusted with this position," Degan stated. "This is not about me. It's about the many fine staff and workers that have given of their own personal time and money to help so many along the way. They've driven hundreds of workers to and from bus stops, and across town, bought lunches, and served as 'ears' just to listen. Putting this official structure on our work will undoubtedly make us exponentially more effective."
Upcoming in 2016 will be a host of events that Woody Degan will develop and produce for the benefit of the Moriah Fields organization, including the Wolf River Festival, and the Wolf River Run.
