Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Misty L. Ralston as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field
Misty L. Ralston was just recently featured in the winter edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.
- Atlantic City, NJ (1888PressRelease) January 13, 2016 - Misty L. Ralston, Law Student at Rutgers University Law School, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine.
Originally planning on pursuing a career in health law, Misty L. Ralston later decided that she would like to get into family law instead once she graduates from law school. Currently attending Rutgers University Law School, with the expected graduation date of May 2016, it has been a long time coming, and she cannot wait to get started.
"I became more interested in family law and would love to help families and divorcing couples resolve their problems peacefully," Ms. Ralston said about her future years in law.
Ms. Ralston, who struggled with obesity most of her life, has since lost 200 pounds and is living a happier and healthier lifestyle today. She has worked with Dr. Marc Neff, co-authoring a book called 'Journal for a Weight Loss Warrior' in 2013. She also created a Facebook page, 'Weight Loss Jedis', while organizing several events for Educate and Empower To Beat Obesity. Recently, she had an article published by Mind Body Green's website, called '7 Things Not to Say to Someone Who Has Had Weight-Loss Surgery'.
Beginning law school part-time in June 2013, Ms. Ralston is eager to get started on her new journey. She plans to take the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar exams after graduation and will be clerking for The Honorable Sandra Lopez, Superior Court Judge, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Currently, she is serving as a part-time President for the Student Bar Association and is a pupil in the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law American Inn of the Court.
