Accenture’s Gina Fratarcangeli brings her influential leadership platform in technology and gender equality to spur billion-dollar economic impact program for women entrepreneurs.
(1888PressRelease) June 30, 2021 - Women in Cloud, a community-led economic development organization dedicated to advancing gender equity in the technology industry, has named Gina Fratarcangeli, Managing Director at Accenture, to its Board of Directors.
In this role, Fratarcangeli will be among a core team of advisors and influencers helping the not-for-profit organization drive its mission to generate $1B in net new global economic access for women entrepreneurs by 2030 through partnerships with corporations, community leaders and policy makers.
As a leader in Cloud technology at Accenture, a global professional services company, Fratarcangeli is a champion for women and diversity. She is a key influencer in helping Accenture achieve gender equality by 2025 and was recently named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Women in Cloud by Insights Success Magazine. As a Women in Cloud board member, Fratarcangeli leverage her broad platform to work with women-led start-ups to find advisors, funding, and talent to grow their businesses.
“With Accenture’s unwavering commitment to inclusion and diversity and the strategic importance of cloud, the decision to partner with Women in Cloud was an easy one. Collectively, our organizations have the power to drive meaningful change for women in the community, at so many levels,” said Gina Fratarcangeli, Managing Director, Accenture.
Fratarcangeli will also be a central figure at Accenture-sponsored Women in Cloud events, part of Accenture and Women in Cloud’s year-long partnership, which kicked off with the global Women in Cloud Digital Summit in January 2021. The Accenture CIO Panel, scheduled for June 15, will feature conversations with key executive women leading large enterprise cloud transformations.
Accenture will also host the Women in Cloud Fortune 100 Lunch & Learn Series on August 13. This event will bring together female entrepreneurs and female founders of cloud-based companies to connect with leaders from the cloud industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gina Fratarcangeli to our Board of Directors. She has already, through her personal involvement and the support of Accenture, helped energize our efforts related to representation, job displacement and supplier diversity allocation to create $1B in economic impact. With women leading the change in the industry, we have the power to avert impending global crisis,” said Chaitra Vedullapalli, Co-Founder and President, Women in Cloud.
