Men love survival fiction-and why not women? Today women are drawn to survival books and movies starring females such as The Hunger Games from Susan Collins, The Outlander (series) from Diana Gabaldon, and Oxy and Crake from Margaret Atwood. "The Urban Survival Site" highlights the top 20 great survival fiction novels. And the site "The Well Armed Women" presents twenty-nine true survival stories of women defending themselves from attacks when going through their day to day lives.
Survival is just the scenario in Ken Wasil's newest book African Safari Bootcamp for Women. In this action-adventure novel, the chance to improve their lives and the lure of Africa bring a group of professional women together from three continents for great white hunter Cassidy Magriff's African Safari Bootcamp for Women.
Five women become stranded in the bush without food, water, or weapons. Mo, the safari's geologist and a Kenyan-American, who grew up with a Masai Mara tribe, is saddled with the task of leading the troupe to safety. They fortify themselves with spiritual exercises, discussions of feminine literature such as Jane Eyre, and conversations on the gamut of women's issues. They defend themselves against attacks from lions, leopards, and a band of terrorists determined to put an end to their lives.
The female warriors form friendships and alliances and uncover talents and skills that contribute to the survival of their troupe and the emergence of their "inner Amazon Warriors". In spite of their ordeal, Each of them is able to take giant steps forward in their lives, fall in love with Africa and the men of their dreams.
