Woman President of One of the Biggest Medical Companies in the World Receives American Woman of the Year Award at the UN
Mary Shaya will be honored at the 4th Global Officials of Dignity Awards(G.O.D. Awards) and scheduled to speak at the 3rd WCH Humanitarian Summit on August 17-19, 2016 at the United Nations Headquarters, New York.

When she is not manning her company, she is out conducting charity events or helping refugees and traveling for religious purposes.

Mary Shaya came from Iraq in 1966 and got married in 1969. She has four children. After her children started going to school, Mrs. Shaya participate in many leadership and professional activities including being very active for the Chaldean community and doing business development for several medical labs. In 1996, Mary started J & B Medical with her husband Fawzi. In 20 short years, J & B has become one of the largest women business enterprises in the world and remains privately held and based in Wixom, Michigan. Founded in 1996, J & B has sixteen different business enterprises and has customers in 48 states and 28 countries. This innovative company has brought many new ideas and solutions forward to the delivery care and continues to strive to improve patient access and quality and has been recognized by many for their excellence and innovation in health care including by Michigan Blue Cross/Blue Shield, State of Michigan, State of Wisconsin, State of Indiana, and by the Office of Inspector General. Mary currently spends her free time helping the Iraqi refugees, traveling the world to visit religious sites, and participating in the Ladies of Charity.
