Since then its popularity has kept rising. wishsite allows the user to create free and individual wishlists without any sort of registration. The wishlists can be shared with friends and family members, who can then reserve the items on the list. That way, tedious questions and discussions about potential presents can be avoided. This is especially useful for events like birthdays, weddings or the Christmas festivities.

Although the site was originally only available in German, more and more users have recently been visiting wishsite from all over the world.
