Philadelphia union-side attorney elected as Fellow of College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
- (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2015 - Willig, Williams & Davidson, a Philadelphia labor, employment and workers' compensation firm, is pleased to announce that partner Ralph J. Teti has been elected as a Fellow in Labor to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. This is the highest recognition by one's colleagues of sustained, outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence. Teti is the only union-side lawyer from the Philadelphia region to have been elected to the College this term.
"This is a well-deserved honor for Ralph, who has dedicated his legal career to ensuring that the rights of hard-working men and women are respected and enforced," said Deborah R. Willig, managing partner of Willig, Williams & Davidson.
Teti focuses his practice on the representation of labor unions and their members, including representation of clients in grievance and interest arbitrations, state and federal courts, and before numerous boards, agencies and commissions. Considered by his peers to be a leading authority on federal and state election law and regulation, Teti also counsels political candidates, political action committees and related organizations in matters such as campaign finance and election law enforcement.
"I am truly honored to be chosen as a Fellow of the College, and especially honored to be the only union-side lawyer from the Philadelphia area to have been elected this term," said Teti. "Protecting the rights of union workers is important for everyone, because when workers' wages and benefits are protected, the middle class is strengthened, the economy is boosted, and the quality of life is improved for all of us."
Teti has been consistently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Labor and Employment Law and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters each year since 2006.
The 20th installation of Fellows will be held Nov. 7, in Philadelphia, coincident with the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section's Continuing Legal Education Conference. With the current installation, the College is represented by more than 1,300 members in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and eight provinces from Canada.
Founded in 1995 on the 60th anniversary of the formation of the National Labor Relations Board, The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers is a nonprofit organization comprised of highly accomplished, well-regarded members of the labor and employment law community. The College aims to promote achievement, advancement and excellence in the practice of labor and employment law, as well as to share information and act as a resource for lawyers, academicians and more.
Willig, Williams & Davidson partners Stuart W. Davidson and Willig were elected to the College as Fellows in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
