Wigwams Head South For Royal Welsh Show
Wigwam Holidays have been attending the Royal Welsh Show since 2006 and this year will be particularly significant for the company as the first Wigwam Holidays site will be launched in Wales.
- (1888PressRelease) July 15, 2010 - Wigwam Holidays will be making a long journey south this July as they travel from Perth, Scotland, down to the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd. Wigwam Holidays have been attending the Royal Welsh Show since 2006 and each year sees a huge amount of positive feedback for the company. This year will be particularly significant as the Welsh Show will see the launch of Wigwam Holidays in Wales as the first new Welsh sites open during 2010.
Creation Gardens is a plant centre based in the heart of the mid-Welsh countryside in the village of Nantmel. Its first wigwam® will be the very one on display at the Welsh Show this year and both Wigwam Holidays and Creation Gardens are very excited about this new development. Wigwam Holidays pride themselves on the diversity and rural beauty each of their sites have to offer and this site is no exception having recently been awarded Best Rural Enterprise in Wales in the annual Countryside Alliance Awards.
The second site will be opening soon after and is located further north along the beautiful Snowdonian Coast adding to the unique qualities each wigwam® site offers.
The opening of these new sites in Wales are hugely promising for Wigwam Holidays who have already increased their number of sites across the rest of the UK from four to thirty-seven since the company was launched back in June 2000. Existing sites are already present from Cornwall to Shetland and there is even a site on the Isle of Mann. These Wigwam Holidays sites are fast gaining a very positive reputation as campers, backpackers, families, friends, cyclists and even pony trekkers stay from site to site following the 'Wigwam Trail'. Other new sites will also be opening in the future as landowners discover the opportunities arising from diversifying their land and starting a site with Wigwam Holidays.
At present, there are around 250 wigwam® cabins sited throughout the UK with an estimated 90,000 bed nights sold per annum. These figures are owed to the four season benefits the wigwam® can offer such as electric heating, full insulation and double glazed windows making wigwam® camping a truly luxurious yet affordable camping experience.
