Wigwam Holidays Big Hit At Royal Highland Show
The Royal Highland show was once again a big success for Wigwam Holidays with many people visiting the stand. On display was a brand new shieling cabin which proved highly popular.
- (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - With the Great British summer weather comes the Great British show season! In June 2008 Wigwam Holidays took up their annual berth at the Royal Highland Show in Ingliston near Edinburgh and this year saw rather a posh all timber "Shieling" cabin on display. The Shieling in question was ordered by Libby MacGregor of Allanfauld Farm Kilsyth, who was more than happy to allow the cabin to be displayed at the Show. With a beautiful interior design courtesy of Katie Rodgers (Making Interiors, Fintry) as well as a solid oak floor, the Shieling made quite an impression at the Royal Highland Show which is one of Scotland's largest summer events.
The Macgregor's are delighted with their new Shieling and equally happy with the service they received through the 'wigwam®-makers' at All Round Buildings, "we had spent the last two years looking at alternative cabins but the All Round Buildings price and quality was far beyond anything else that we had seen". They added that "All Round Buildings were brilliant to work with offering a very personal service all throughout the design and construction of the Shieling". The beautifully designed Shieling is truly unique among alternative wooden cabins and can provide unbeatable comfort and warmth all year round in all weather conditions. Made from renewable resources of home-grown timber, the Shieling is not only elegant and stylish but also offers the highest quality in environmentally friendly accommodation.
The beautiful Highland Show cabin consists of one bedroom, an open plan living room/kitchen and a toilet and shower making it a luxurious alternative accommodation. It can comfortably sleep two people but also includes a sofa bed to sleep an extra two people if required adding to its versatility. The show cabin is now sited at the Macgregor's Allanfauld Farm in Kilsyth and can be hired out from a very reasonable Ā£25/night per person. The Shieling provides the perfect and secluded self contained holiday accommodation or as a luxury ensuite for Libby's first class B&B. A quick glance at the visitor's book suggests that it is already proving a hit with guests, "what a lovely cabin, beautifully furnished, peaceful setting and friendly hosts" say Phillip and Ross from Lanarkshire. Jeniffer and Michael, who have come all the way from Israel add that "the cabin is magical, just beautiful, we had the best time ever and highly recommend it".
If you think that staying in the wooden Shieling is a far cry from civilised accommodation then you'd most definitely be wrong as the Shieling features an abundance of modern commodities including a shower, fridge, microwave, electric cooker with double hob and even a digital TV with Freeview. And for those who truly cannot leave the modern world behind for a day or two, Allanfauld Shieling is fully equipped with wireless broadband internet access.
The Royal Highland show was once again a huge success for Wigwam Holidays with many thousands of wigwamers new and old visiting the stand.
