Wideband Ceiling Mount Antenna Covers all Cellular Voice & Data Frequencies from LTE 700 MHz to WiMAX 2.7 GHz
The RM-WLF Wideband Series is most typically installed in vehicles or as part of a fixed M2M (machine to machine) application.
- (1888PressRelease) March 08, 2011 - Schiller Park, IL - Mobile Mark's Ceiling Mount Adapter kit turns the popular "RM-WLF" Wideband Surface Mount antennas into a Wideband Ceiling Mount Antennas covering Cellular Voice & Data applications from the 700 MHz band to 2.7 GHz.
The RM-WLF Wideband Series is most typically installed in vehicles or as part of a fixed M2M (machine to machine) application. However, a new Ceiling Mount Adapter kit is available to convert this versatile antenna into a ceiling mount antenna.
The antenna is available with either a white or black radome. The white radome is particularly appropriate for Ceiling Mount Antenna applications where it will blend in well with the ceiling panels.
The most important part of the kit is the metal ground plane adaptor which provides the necessary ground to guarantee that the antenna will perform optimally as a ceiling mount antenna.
The RM-WLF provides coverage from 694-894 MHz and from 1.7-2.7 GHz. This means the antenna can be used for traditional Cellular applications at 850 & 1900 MHz as well as for LTE, HSPA, AWS, WiFi or WiMAX applications. It has excellent performance characteristics and performs well across the entire band.
This versatile antenna is only 3-inches tall and provides 3 dBi gain across the entire band. It blends in well with many in-building installations.
US cellular networks have operated, for years, on the 850 & 1900 MHz frequency bands, but that is starting to change. A number of Carriers are expanding their coverage onto new frequency bands won in various spectrum auctions. AT&T and Verizon are rolling out 4G systems using the 700 MHz band for LTE. T-Mobile, Cricket & MetroPCS are using the AWS bands at 1.7 & 2.1 GHz. Clearwire/Sprint Nextel is offering WiMAX coverage at 2.5-2.7 GHz to supplement its Cellular offering.
If multiple Carriers are in operating in the region on different frequency bands, then if might be useful to select a wideband ceiling mount antenna that operates on multiple frequencies. This way the network designer is prepare for whichever phone system the wireless user brings into the building.
"We already have a number of Ceiling Mount Antennas for In-building networks," according to Michael Berry, President & CEO. "but the RM-WLF with its adapter kit stands out because it covers so many bands. People like the fact they are prepared for any migration from 3G to LTE or to WiMAX."
The RM-WLF antennas are typically built with RG-58 cable and terminate with an SMA Plug (male) connector. Cable Assemblies can be customized to facilitate installation.
Mobile Mark, Inc. designs and manufactures site, mobile and device antennas for 600 MHz - 9 GHz.
