Inspired by beer that was served in pre-Prohibition saloons, Western Standard is a sessionable, barrel-aged lager blended with beer, aged in High West bourbon barrels. Created by High West Whiskey founder David Perkins, Western Standard embodies the pioneer spirit and embraces independent artists to bring people together through beer and music. Jamestown Revival’s Americana, pioneer style of music and storytelling reflects Western Standard’s similar passion for the brewing history of the West.
"Jamestown Revival is the exact type of artist Western Standard loves to support because their music is rooted in Western Americana and represents stories of everyday life and values that are the core of Western Standard,” said High West Whiskey Founder & Western Standard Creator David Perkins. "What makes Jamestown Revival so special to us is that they’re easy-going everyday guys that are really good at what they do. That’s what Western Standard is – an easy drinking, every day beer that’s a more interesting trade up from your usual every day beer."
Bandmates Zach Chance and Jonathan Clay are childhood friends from Magnolia, TX with a collaborative passion for writing songs inspired by storytellers of adventure and everyday life. Their first album, Utah, named Best of 2014 by iTunes, was originally self-released in early 2014 and then re-released by Republic Records later that year. Jamestown Revival released their second album, The Education of a Wandering Man in 2016, and returns to their roots on their third and latest studio album, San Isabel, released earlier this summer.
Of their partnership, Jamestown Revival says, “The opportunity to partner with Western Standard Beer is a genuine privilege. Not only are we fans of the product - and the integrity that’s behind the making of Western Standard Beer- but we truly appreciate their support of independent artists such as ourselves.”
