Westchester Toyota to Donate 100 Backpacks to Help Fire Damaged Children's Non-Profit
Westchester Toyota will donate 100 backpacks and school supplies to Kid's Kloset on Tuesday October 9th at 1pm.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 29, 2012 - Recently, a fire caused extensive water and smoke damage to the Kid's Kloset warehouse in White Plains. The majority of their "Operation Backpack" school supplies were damaged or destroyed just before the new school year.
Kid's Kloset is a program of Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), that provides children in need with clothing and essentials free of charge. The organization has helped more than 1,800 children since it was launched last July.
In addition, Westchester Toyota launched a fundraiser campaign on Facebook page to help the WJCS rebuild Kid's Kloset. Each donation made through the secure Facebook Fundrazr app will be matched up to $1,000 by the dealership.

"As a local business we felt it was our duty to step in and help when we heard that the fire destroyed all the back-to-school supplies they've worked so hard to acquire for the kids," commented Rich Prager, Westchester Toyota General Manager.
