West Vancouver's Capilano Golf & Country Club works with Vancouver based alternative energy strategists Dynamic Energy Solutions to make greens maintenance greener
Dynamic Energy Solutions Limited (DES) (Vancouver, BC) is pleased to announce that it has successfully developed a lithium ion battery module that has been designed to be compatible with the Jacobsen E-Walker precision greens mower for West Vancouver's historic Capilano Golf and Country Club.
- (1888PressRelease) July 24, 2013 - DES completed preliminary testing of the battery modules with West Vancouver's Capilano Golf and Country Club. As a result of the success of the preliminary test, Vancouver's Capilano Golf and Country Club has purchased six (6) new electric precision greens mowers fitted with DES's latest lithium ion battery modules.
"The DES lithium ion battery module noise reducing benefits have significantly reduced the amount of noise when mowing greens. This has allowed us to meet or exceed West Vancouver's strict municipal noise bylaws while helping mower operators hear their supervisors and the operation of their equipment better. The maintenance free benefits of the DES lithium ion battery has increased productivity by allowing our technicians to allocate this additional time to other tasks. In total, the environmental benefits, noise reduction, productivity improvements and long-term operational cost savings made adding the DES lithium ion batteries to our fleet a very easy decision." said Jamie Robb, Course Superintendent of Vancouver's Capilano Golf and Country Club.
DES is working with CRTGolf of South Carolina, USA to provide electric brush systems that use lithium ion battery modules to retrofit across a wide range of greens and turf maintenance equipment.
