Experienced estate planning attorney Virginia Palmer joins Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP as a partner.
- Oakland, CA (1888PressRelease) March 03, 2012 - Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP welcomes estate planning attorney Virginia Palmer as a partner. Palmer has more than 30 years of experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration and elder law.
"Virginia brings with her a thorough knowledge of the complex probate, trust and estate issues confronting Bay Area residents that will be invaluable to Wendel Rosen's clients," said the firm's Managing Partner Daniel Rapaport. Her practice has a particular emphasis on estate planning for traditional and non-traditional families, including members of the LGBT community; representation of individual and professional fiduciaries in the administration of living trusts; and conservatorships and decedents' estates. In addition, Palmer provides legal counsel on advance health care directives and end-of-life decisions.
Palmer's legal advocacy on behalf of families extends beyond the law firm walls. She serves as a Pro Tem Judge in the Alameda County Superior Court Probate Department and is a court-appointed guardian ad litem for minor children and incapacitated adults. A fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Council, Palmer also mediates matters in her areas of expertise.
A sought-after lecturer and author on estate planning topics, Palmer has spoken extensively in front of legal and corporate audiences throughout the West Coast. She has been selected for inclusion in Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2004. Palmer earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law (1980) and her B.A. from California State University at San Francisco (1975).
