- (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2012 - WellBalance, a leading health organization that runs adolescent weight loss summer camps & community outreach programs, has announced the opening of WellBalance Basic Training, a two-week intensive weight loss management for adults aged 20-29. The food and fitness weight loss boot camp was designed by famous TV fit coach John Taylor.
With the motto, "This ain't no weight loss spa," WellBalance Basic Training will offer guests a variety of challenging physical activities that include mixed martial arts classes, resistance training, group exercise, 5k race training, aquatic-based exercises, and popular physical challenge events that include the Pan-Mass Challenge bicycle race and the Spartan Race obstacle course. Plus, guests will undergo a diet weight loss plan that includes nutrition and culinary lessons and health coaching for continued success.
WellBalance Basic Training adult weight loss boot camp will be led by renowned fitness coach John Taylor who has been seen on Good Morning America, The Rachel Ray Show, The BBC, and cable television shows.
"This provided me the opportunity to design a program that will help adults make a positive change that can impact the rest of their lives," said John Taylor, who also serves as WellBalance's Vice President of Programs. "Basic Training gives adults the education and hands-on practice needed to enhance their culinary and fitness knowledge base while gaining the confidence necessary to be successful in their wellness-related pursuits."
As part of the WellBalance approach to healthy living, Basic Training will offer guests daily culinary classes, multiple physical activity challenges per day, and group health coaching sessions throughout their stay. Guests will also receive individual fitness, nutrition, and health coaching consultations and assessments to help identify their wellness-related goals and to develop strategies to help guests meet their healthy living objectives.
"Our small weight loss boot camp is designed specifically for those late in college or early into their careers who are struggling to eat healthy or find time to work out," said Taylor. "The opportunity to have immediate success, gain support from others, and develop skills in an intensive environment will offer our guests the opportunity for lasting change."
After their 1 or 2 week stay, WellBalance Basic Training guests will be invited to participate in the free Support for Home program, a set of tools that will allow guests to monitor their daily physical activity levels and nutritional intake over a password encrypted website. Furthermore, guests will continue to receive WellBalance's fitness and health curriculum for one year after their departure for no additional cost.
WellBalance aims for all of their guests to participate in Support for Home and hopes that all their clientele will utilize the various facets of the program to help them lead happier, healthier lives.
The adult weight management program will be held on the campus of Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and will run from July 29-August 11. Visit www.WellBalanceBasicTraining.com or contact 866-801-4387 for more information.
