Welbeck Group Steps Up The Pace
The Welbeck Group, one of the UK's fastest growing providers of wealth management and financial services, entered a team in this year's Crisis Square Mile Run (9th September 2010) a team relay running race to help raise money for the Crisis homelessness charity.
- (1888PressRelease) September 22, 2010 - The Crisis Square Mile Run started at Paternoster Square next to St Paul's Cathedral. The route followed the Thames Pathway and the Southbank, past the Tate Modern and finished in spectacular style over the Millennium Bridge, where the Welbeck Warriors managed a creditable 23rd out of 97 teams taking part. The 10 members of the Welbeck Warriors team comprised Patrick Murphy (05.03); Max Peters (05.18); Philip Legrand (05.20); Gethin Whittall (05.23); Toby Walker (05.27); Richard Hammond (05.53); Martin Himpfen (05.59); Chris James (06.24), Roger Murphy (06.31) and Chris Pegler (07.07). In total, the team with support from fellow staff and advisors at the Welbeck Group have raised over £350 for Crisis. According to Welbeck Group Practice Principal, Greg Knight, "It's a great effort by the guys for a brilliant cause. But next year we'll be looking for a top ten finish!"
