Weissmuller and Sons Appoints Global Managing Directors for Newly Launched Environmental and Energy Brokerage Services Groups
Weissmuller and Sons, a leading global commodity brokerage firm with international offices in selected key cities worldwide, has recently named two exceptional talents in the industry to lead the firm's newly created environmental and energy brokerage business service groups.
- (1888PressRelease) May 11, 2011 - Mr. Garvin Yardley and Mr. Elwood McDermott are the new Managing Directors of the firm's Global Environmental Commodity Service and International Renewable Energy Brokerage Service, respectively. The new brokerage service groups will be based in London complete with customer trading desks composed of all professional customer service representatives.
The new Environmental Brokerage service Group will provide wide-range of tradable products and services intended to facilitate project developers, financial institutions and corporations to put into action the most possible trading strategies in the global voluntary and compliance environmental markets. The new Environmental Brokerage service Group will enable easy trading for the entire environmental commodities which may include European Union Emission allowances, Voluntary Emissions Reductions, Certified Emissions Reductions Requirements, Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiatives and Compliance and Voluntary Renewable Energy Credits.
As the new global Managing Director of the Environmental Commodities, Mr. Garvin Yardley is given the supervisory responsibility to oversee the Environmental Brokerage Service Group and he will work hand in hand with Mr. Elwood McDermott, the newly installed Managing Director of the firm's International Renewable Energy Brokerage Service.

Mr. Garvin Yardley has more than two decades of trading experience in the financial service and energy markets. He held managerial positions on some commodity energy firms, gaining substantial experience in environmental and energy markets. He earned his master degree from Fitchburg State University. On the other hand, Mr. Elwood McDermott was formerly a Managing director for environmental markets at one of the well-known energy companies in United States where he was tasked to supervise the entire aspect of renewable energy registry systems in North America. He earned his degree in Environmental Engineering from Florida International University.
