Weekly Update On Rome Resources' Progress As Of October 9th 2010
Rome Resources' has made some progress at the Don Luis property. Treenching, sampling, soil-gas and scintillometer analysis, detailed geological mapping and soil and lithogeochemical sampling are bringing us closer to get a more precise image of Don Luis' enormous potential.
- (1888PressRelease) October 14, 2010 - Work by Rome Resources during the week was mainly trenching and sampling on the Don Luis Silver-Gold-Tungsten Greisen-Porphyry Property. Work continued on soil-gas and scintillometer analyzes. In addition, detailed geological mapping, and soil and lithogeochemical sampling over the entire property was initiated. The huge amount of information obtained from the above work will contribute to a focused reverse-circulation drilling program.
A large number of samples are being taken. The soil samples will be screened; the trench and lithogeochemical samples will be pulverized. First-pass, economical analysis of these samples is made possible by the purchase of a Niton (XLt-500 Series) X-ray fluorescence analyzer. This instrument is used in the field for immediate analytical information. In a controlled office setting pulverized and screened samples are analyzed systematically.
Work next week will continue as above. Trenching is slow because it is being done in the steep terrain on the east side of "Brain Rock Hill", which is centered on the East Zone. These trenches are however, successfully providing almost continuous exposure of significant bedrock.
