Wednesday lunch includes soup or salad, choice of two main course items and chef select dessert for $14.95 plus tax and gratuity. Want to enjoy a glass of award winning Monterey County Wine with your lunch special Wednesday. Chef will select a glass of wine to accompany your lunch. With wine $20.00 plus tax and gratuity. Bringing home style European Country Cuisine to Carmel, Chef/Owner Sven Hoffman uses fresh, local seasonal ingredients, the best local produce, seafood and meats (organic when possible) to every mouthwatering dish. Chef Hoffman also strictly follows the Seafood Watch guidelines set by the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Carmel Food Company offers two heated patios (a garden patio in the back and a front patio) as well dining inside the grand "tented" pavilion. Diners can enjoy a romantic dinner or bright lunch either inside or out. The front patio is dog friendly, bring your four legged friend for a doggie treat and fresh bowl of water! Culinary trained in Germany, Chef Hoffman has traveled extensively around the world honing his culinary skills. After years of working in Europe's top kitchens, Chef Hoffman brought his culinary expertise to some of California's most celebrated restaurants including Aubčrge du Soleil in Napa. Since moving to the Monterey Peninsula his talents have been reserved to private clients and homes. Carmel Food Company is the Central Coast's first chance to sample his fresh yet classical menu items including:
One of the delights to customers is the numerous specials Chef Hoffman adds daily based on fresh, seasonal, local ingredients. Diners recently enjoyed Watermelon/Prosciutto and Mint, Aranchini, Pacific Cod with Mango Salad and Halibut in Truffle Butter. The chef also makes daily dessert specials including Cheese Blintzes, Cherry Napoleons with Chocolate Torte and Crepes with Orange Sauce. The chef adds three to four specials to each meal daily.
