Website Makeover for World's Oldest Stamp Dealer
As part of its strategic e-commerce development, AIM listed Stanley Gibbons Group plc, has re-launched its website with significantly improved functionality and back office integration, as a truer reflection of its proud British heritage.
- (1888PressRelease) June 10, 2011 - Following the redesign and re-launch of the Group's memorabilia and rare signatures website, frasersautographs.com, at the beginning of February, The Stanley Gibbons Group plc has announced the re-launch of its core philatelic and investment website, stanleygibbons.com.
Like the Fraser's Autographs site, stanleygibbons.com has been built on the renowned Hybris platform by e-commerce specialists, Sceneric, who have undertaken successful development projects for companies such as Zurich, LOVEFiLM and B&Q.
The new SG.com site has been pared down visually to make it easier to navigate and to signpost the business' key areas of expertise, stamp dealing, auctions and rare stamp investments. It has also incorporated a more dynamic content management system allowing the use of voucher and special offer codes that were previously only available from their mail-order department and retail store at 399 Strand, London.
"Our new ecommerce platform puts Stanley Gibbons at the cutting edge of online functionality and provides the foundation for our multi-channel strategy" said Keith Heddle, Stanley Gibbons' Group Sales & Marketing Director.
This relaunch marks the first stage in the development of the Stanley Gibbons site, with an online trading platform due for completion later this year.
