"What's New in Windows Server 2012?" is the topic of a webinar that EITA Global, a leading continuing education training provider in the IT space, will organize on September 5. Zubair Alexander, a Microsoft MVP, a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and the founder of SeattlePro Enterprises, LLC, will be the Speaker at this session.
- (1888PressRelease) August 16, 2013 - It is not uncommon for organizations to dabble in the habit of juggling with a few features here and there of operating systems and passing them off as new versions.
However, the 2012 version of Windows Server is anything but this. It is a radical departure from the earlier version. It brings with it loads and loads of highly innovative features. Consider some of these: the BitLocker, Smart Cards, DNS and RDP have been introduced. This is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. The fact that some 10,000 engineers worked on it for four years shows in the hundreds of innovations it has brought into it.
This webinar will familiarize participants with all that has gone into the new Windows Server 2012. This knowledge is necessary because this complete overhauling may appear daunting to first time users. For instance, it could alarm users to discover that the new PowerShell 3.0 in Windows Server 2012 has 2400 new command lets, compared to 200 in Windows Server 2008. And when Hyper-V is enabled, Windows Server 2012 supports 320 logical processors, compared to 64 in Windows Server 2008.
There is a lot more to this new op system. The biggest changes in Windows Server 2008 are in the hypervisor and virtualization. It is associated with many adjectives and superlatives, most importantly from its critics. So, this webinar will be highly useful in helping participants to dissect this new operating system and in getting a grasp of its working.
