Water@Work to Sponsor 2014 Large Church Initiative Conference
Water@Work Ministry will be participating as a Gold sponsor of the Large Church Initiative (LCI) Conference, which will be held on April 28-30, 2014 at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Johns Creek, Georgia just outside of Atlanta.
- (1888PressRelease) April 12, 2014 - Water ( @ ) Work Ministry will be participating as a Gold sponsor of the Large Church Initiative (LCI) Conference, which is a partnership between the General Board of Discipleship and the Large Church Initiative Committee, chaired by The Rev dot Dr dot Tim Walker dot The annual LCI conference is hosted each year by a different church to provide an arena for networking, for sharing ideas, and for giving and receiving encouragement and support for ministry dot This year the LCI Conference will be held on April 28-30, 2014 at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Johns Creek, Georgia just outside of Atlanta dot
The United Methodist Large Church Initiative is designed to serve churches with 1,000 or more members and/or with an average attendance of 350 or more in worship. The initiative is designed to provide opportunities for pastors, staff and congregational leaders to exchange ideas, learn new leadership skills, develop new ideas through discussion, study and networking work together to accomplish common goals.
Included in the event is a full schedule of speakers including Rev. Steve Wood of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, Rev. Sharma Lewis of North Georgia United Methodist Conference, Chip Ingram of Venture Christian Church, Jorge Acevedo of Grace Church in Southwest Florida, and Mark Batterson of National Community Church in Washington, DC.
With a focus of "Engaging All Generations", this event will include worship service and music provided by a wide range of Christian musicians, including Natalie Grant (image to right), a GMA Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years (2009-2009) and top-selling Adult Contemporary female solo artist.
