Water Leak Alarm System Stops Flooding At Its Source
The Water Guardian provides property owners in South Florida 24/7 monitoring for water leaks and flooding.
- West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) July 10, 2010 - Water damage from leaking appliances, water heaters and pipes can be financially devastating for property owners, particularly those with multi-level units. And according to recent statistics, almost one-half of all home owners will experience some type of water damage during the duration of property ownership. As a result, a Florida-based distributor of water and gas leak detection systems is offering the Water Guardian, a state-of-the-art water leak alarm and shutoff system for property managers and home owners.
Equipped with a wireless water sensor, a water sensor probe, a water valve, and a wireless water valve controller, the Water Guardian is capable of automatically shutting off water lines in the event of a water leak. The system also connects to existing home alarm systems to notify home owners during a leak.
"This system is ideal for anyone who wants to stop water leaks from turning into flooding," said Randy Himmelheber, founder of Accel Distributors, an exclusive South Florida distributor of the Water Guardian system.
"For a nominal fee, home owners, condo owners and property managers can have the peace-of-mind of knowing their properties are protected in the event a water leak does occur," he added.
The Water Guardian offers 24/7 monitoring and when water begins to leak, sensors emit a wireless signal to the valve controller, shutting off the main water supply at its source. Water Guardian subscribers are then notified, as well as anyone else on their emergency contact list, when connected to an alarm panel.
The proprietary system is easy to install and can be wired to existing alarm panels and home security systems.
Currently, Accel is offering a one-year warranty on all of its systems, as well as assistance with system installation.
"This is the type of product that people realize they need after it's too late," noted Himmelheber. "Our goal is to raise awareness that these units are now available to all South Florida residents, including those in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties. We encourage them to learn more about this innovative system."
In addition to the Water Guardian, Accel Distributores is also offering the Gas Guardian, a home monitoring system that detects and shuts off dangerous gas leaks.
