  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2010 - The Washington, D.C. Economic Partnership (WDCEP) has selected agencyQ (Q), a D.C.-based digital marketing agency to create the new WDCEP.com. Q was selected from six corporate website development finalists among the 26 agencies that responded to the WDCEP's request for proposal.

Recognizing the need for a digital presence as dynamic as its audience, the WDCEP engaged Q to develop a new website that will serve as the go-to online resource for information related to conducting business in D.C. The new site will offer improved navigation and functionality, more interactive content, and integration with social networking platforms. WDCEP.com serves as a resource for businesses and non-profits, retailers and restaurants, brokers, investors and entrepreneurs with an interest in establishing a physical presence in D.C., including artists, "green" innovators, non-profit leaders and business executives. The site also provides valuable information to the media, affiliated government agencies, and other economic development organizations.

"The WDCEP performs a vital role in facilitating economic development in D.C. through its research, market insight and events, but our current website does not reflect our initiatives or services effectively," said Chad Shuskey, Vice President, Research & Visual Communications at WDCEP. "We need a website that makes an immediate impact with an engaging look and feel, while providing fresh, relevant content. We're pleased to partner with Q to develop an online presence that will better represent who we are and what D.C. offers to those seeking business opportunities."

With more than ten years of experience strengthening online brands for clients such as the Alliance for Climate Protection, the Pew Forum on Religion and Politics, and Tyco International, and a strong foundation in the District, agencyQ is an ideal strategic partner for the WDCEP website project. In 2008 the WDCEP honored Q with its Small Business of the Year Award.

"D.C. is part of Q's DNA. We were incorporated in D.C., and as our business has grown, we've continued to make the District our home. We share the WDCEP's passion for D.C. and are confident that the new website will play a critical role in advancing the WDCEP's mission," said Tim Neill, President and CEO of Q.
