Warp Drive Inventor To Speak At Mars Conference
Marshall Barnes, inventor of the STDTS, the first functioning prototype technology for warp drive, will present a paper on electromagnetic field propulsion alternatives to the Miguel Alcubierre warp drive model at the annual Mars Society Conference in Grapvine, Texas.
- (1888PressRelease) July 27, 2011 - Research and development engineer, Marshall Barnes, will be speaking again at the International Mars Society Conference, this year in the Dallas suburb of Grapvine, Texas and he will continue to be on a Star Trek theme. Where last year he proposed a "holo-deck in a helmet" solution to psychological challenges identified by experts that those on long manned space flights will face, this year he will present, for the first time to a scientific body, his research into the field of the application of electromagnetism coupling with gravity to produce solutions to challenges to most warp drive models from energy requirements and space-time geometry adjustments.
His trip is sponsored in part by Greyhound Lines, Inc, as well as Project Solutions Group. His presentation will focus on the background to the effort to unify electromagnetism and gravity and how that supplies solutions to the negative energy and exotic matter requirements of most warp drive physics models based around the 1994 Miguel Alcubierre solution derived from equations within Einstein's theory of General Relativity.
The presentation will have video and feature some highlights of Marshall's own efforts with his STDTS technology which are the first to produce significant results.
