  • (1888PressRelease) February 13, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA -The film, also starring David Carradine in his final feature film appearance before his untimely passing, offers a classic tale of betrayal and vengeance through an original plot to inspire fans of cult classic films like Kill Bill and Boondock Saints. It seems only natural that Carradine and Reedus, both stars in those film classics, would appear together in Sampson's Night of the Templar. Newly released for February 2013, the DVD is available at Walmart stores across the United States.

Night of the Templar is an original story written, directed and starring Paul Sampson, also a feature actor in films including Deuces Wild, Whacked!, and My Mom's New Boyfriend, alongside Antonio Banderas. The story tells a tale of betrayal at the hands of a Templar Knight's trusted confidants and his revenge, exacted upon the kindred spirits of those who did him wrong 700 years earlier. The feature film also stars other Hollywood iconic actors including Udo Kier, Billy Drago and Max Perlich.

"It's given me more than I can handle to write about," shares blogger Tim Connely, a fan who hosts a blog about the career of Reedus. "No sooner did I get online with news about the new (Walking Dead) season, I got my copy of Night of the Templar and I just can't say enough. This movie is a pinnacle achievement for all the actors involved. Seeing Norman with David Carradine is just about as good as it gets."

Shoppers will find the Walmart edition of the DVD offers a collectible raised print cover sleeve with graphics depicting the characters played by Reedus, Caradine and Sampson. The film runs nearly two hours, giving viewers a series of laughs, chills and unexpected twists that rivet them to the seat in anticipation of what might happen next. Online reviews have called it a must see and fans report watching over again with the same excitement of their fist viewing.

"It's the last David Carradine film I'll ever get to discover," shares Mike Wilkerson, a Kentucky based Walmart shopper. "I've followed his career since I was a teenager and seeing that his final film includes Norman Reedus, I almost don't want to open it. I just want to put it on a shelf and collect it for my kids college fund one day."
