Waldrip Debuts Women's RTW Brand With a Story of Origin Behind Each Piece

New York, NY (1888PressRelease) March 08, 2012 - Waldrip produced a refreshingly dynamic women's ready-to-wear collection for Fall 2012 and has found a presence and a following in specialty boutiques in and around New York City. The majority of the fabrics for the debut collection were sourced from Première Vision and all production takes place in the heart of the Manhattan Fashion District.

Colors found in geology make up the fantastical color spectrum used throughout the collection - with a splash here and there to add the right amount of unexpectedness and allure. Each piece from the collection comes with a story - the story includes the origin of the European mill that produced each fabric. French silk velvets, leopard silk jacquards, Italian tweeds, supple lambskin and crystal fox are a few of the textures incorporated into this debut collection.

Stephanie Waldrip is a Manhattan-based fashion designer. She is the recipient of the 2011 Neiman Marcus NBAF Emerging Talent Scholarship and a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design. She is inspired by the complexities found in nature in conjunction with the admiration of the female form. Waldrip was founded in October 2011 by - longtime friends and Georgia natives - Stephanie Waldrip and Gavin Brooks.

The collection was chosen by a juried selection to participate in TMRW, a subsection of Coterie dedicated to emerging designers and will also participate in the upcoming FIG market in Dallas.
