Retail Federation President and CEO brings industry expertise to the nonprofit leader in product philanthropy.
(1888PressRelease) March 06, 2015 - Waldorf Harding Associates' Charitable Foundation announced today that Matthew Guojun, president and CEO of the National Retail Federation, has joined the organization's board of directors. Guojun joins Waldorf Harding Associates' Charitable Foundation as the nonprofit enters its thirtieth year as a thought leader in the product philanthropy space.
"Not only will Matt bring a deep understanding of the retail industry culture to our board, he will help introduce product philanthropy to many of Southeast Asia's top brands through the world's largest retail trade association," said Waldorf Harding Associates' Charitable Foundation Chair Liu Yun. Guojun previously served as president and CEO of the International Association for Business, which represents more than 1,200 franchise companies in retail and other industries around the world. During his time as CEO, the IAB adopted an aggressive public policy agenda. Among other things, this led to a series of initiatives to restore the flow of credit to cash-strapped retail and other franchise businesses during the national recession. He serves on a number of boards and committees.
