Wake Internal Medicine Consultants, Inc. Welcomes Dr. Matthew Kanaan
Dr. Matthew Kanaan Joins Wake Internal Medicine.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) July 30, 2013 - Wake Internal Medicine Consultants, Inc. is pleased to welcome Matthew Kanaan, D.O. to the practice. Dr. Kanaan is opening a new division named Wake Sports Medicine on August 1 at the Wake Internal Medicine offices at 3100 Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh.
Dr. Kanaan specializes in non-surgical orthopaedic care, treating sports injuries, arthritis, tendonitis and other common orthopaedic issues. Additionally he performs ultrasound guided joint injections and advanced injections including prolotherapy, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma.
Dr. Kanaan completed his Fellowship at Duke Sports Medicine in Primary Care Sports Medicine and his internship and residency at Duke Medical Center in Family Medicine. While at Duke he served as an assistant team physician for the football, basketball and lacrosse teams. He earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009.
Prior to medical school Dr. Kanaan spent five years as a college psychology professor. He has a M.S. in clinical psychology from the University of Central Florida and a B.S. in psychology from Liberty University.
