Wagner Dance and Music Holds Open Auditions for Dance Elite
Come try-out to become a part of the Dance Elite Team, dance auditions will be held on April 13th, 2012.
- Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2012 - Wagner Dance and Music, the top performing arts school in the East Valley, will be holding open auditions for its Dance Elite company on Friday, April 13th, 2012, beginning at 4:30, at their studio in Gilbert, Arizona.
Dance Elite is one of the Valley's premier youth dance companies featuring a cast of talented students who regularly perform in numerous professionally-staged productions. During the open auditions, dancers, ages 5 and up, have the opportunity to try-out to become a member of the Dance Elite company. Auditions begin at 4:30 pm at the Wagner Dance and Music studio located on the southeast corner of Guadalupe and Gilbert Roads in the Big Lots shopping plaza.
"There's no preparation required for our open auditions," said Denise Wagner, Owner of Wagner Dance and Music. "Dancers should just come ready to dance and have fun."
For the 2012 - 2013 performance year, Dance Elite team members may have the opportunity to perform at Freestone Park for Halloween, as part of the Gilbert Days Parade, with the Glendale Glitters, at the Herberger Theatre (a benefit for Head Start), at the young Artists of Arizona Competition, during the Ostrich Festival, for the Hollywood Dance Experience, during Disney Magic Music Days, at the Global Village Festival and more including Wagner Dance and Music's Annual Production in June.
"Dance Elite is much more than just a performance team," said Wagner. "They are a group of dancers who are dedicated to dancing and have a passion for performing. Elite members work very hard and are required to follow a program of dance training including: Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap and Tumbling. The members typically dedicate 3-8 hours per week to dance training, depending on age."
Dance Elite training is designed to develop and fine tune participants skills to help them become outstanding, well rounded performers. Dance Elite members also learn life skills such as the development of self-confidence, respect, etiquette, responsibility, teamwork, commitment and self-esteem.
