Voth Nixon Group hosts business day event
Twenty five young adults have recently visited Voth Nixon Group's Hong Kong office to attend a business day event and receive information regarding a multitude of entrepreneurial abilities from the company's volunteers.
- (1888PressRelease) June 24, 2015 - The program was established in order to offer its participants the necessary support and abilities, including occupation-related credentials, which will assist them in identifying appropriate professions pertaining to their skills as they make their transition to adult life.
The event featured a series of sessions held by Voth Nixon Group volunteers with the objective of increasing the employability rate of its participants. Subjects such as successful interviews, developing communication skills and professional presentation abilities were all part of the agenda with the volunteers directly interacting with each guest in order to engage and inspire them.
Due to the positive feedback received from the participants Voth Nixon Group plans to hold such events more frequently and include it in its social responsibility activities.
"While unemployment is not really a major issue when it comes to a strong economy such as Hong Kong, the reality is that many teenagers and college graduates find it difficult to choose a career path" said Frank Votaw, Chief Operating Officer of Voth Nixon Group "Before attending the event most of the participants were at odds with their career choices while some of them found it rather difficult to get noticed by potential employers, usually due to lack of work experience, unsatisfactory interview skills or insufficient educational qualifications.
