- (1888PressRelease) November 30, 2011 - Voodoo Browne - the rapper from Ipswich in Suffolk liked to 'Snoop meets Tricky' - releases another banger from his debut album 'Browne Saucery'.
The single 'Went 2 Heaven' is about the freestyle MC making his move on a fit chick in a club - but delivered with wit, timing and a bit of cheeky smut.
Voodoo Browne will be performing live in London at Cherryjam on 9th December as an album playback gig and his album is to be one of the first released on Psonar - a legal file sharing app - that month.
Voodoo explains: I'd written the vocals to Went 2 Heaven initially for another project which never happened. One day in the studio my right hand man, manager and producer NJC aka Nat Clarkson heard the lyrics, he was feeling the concept so he threw a beat together. I rearranged my lyrics slightly to fit with the uptempo dance beat. I didn't want LBR (Low Budget Raver - debut single) to be the only dance track on my debut album so it was nice to bring Went 2 Heaven to life! Went 2 Heaven is all about being in the club seeing that girl of your dreams, that special one! The verse moves on to approaching her wid some serious churpsing! A whole heap of compliments wid a couple of classic cheesy chat up lines chucked in too! (Voodoo laughs)"...
This is an out-and-out club anthem that has all the elements needed to catch your ears, catchy riff and an easy 4×4 beat, just destined for dancefloors up and down the country, worldwide and outer-space!
