Voices for Children - CASA Announces Sponsor Opportunities for Sping "Casino Royale" Themed Gala Featuring Miggs Band
Just Announced! Voices for Children - CASA of Monterey is looking for sponsorship for the upcoming spring fundraiser!
- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) October 25, 2013 - Voices for Children - CASA is proud to announce sponsorship opportunities for its annual Gala on March 8th, 2014 at the Inn at Spanish Bay. The group has secured the talented Miggs Band, an American pop-rock indie band formed in 2001 in San Francisco, CA by Don Miggs. Miggs has released five albums and performed with high profile bands such as Maroon 5, Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver's Scott Weiland, and KT Tunstall. In addition to this powerful performance, we will have a fabulous 4-course dinner, silent and live auction, red carpet entrance, casino style gaming, martini bar, and will wrap up the evening with a great dance band.
Sponsorship gives local businesses a powerful mechanism for demonstrating their commitment to supporting children in our community. Levels range from $2,000 to $20,000. Benefits include advertising, social media posting and promotions, tickets to the event (commensurate with level of sponsorship), exposure to over 300 guests and several thousand invitees, and recognition at the event.

Voices for Children - CASA which has been serving local foster children for 15 years, trains and manages community volunteers who support and guide children in the foster care system. Formerly known as CASA of Monterey County, Voices for Children'smission is to train and support community volunteers who advocate for abused or neglected children placed in foster care, upholding the children's rights while pursuing a safe and permanent home. CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates) speak up for the children's best interests and build relationships that help restore a child's trust. CASAs also mentor youth over age 18 as they transition out of foster care into independent living.
Founded locally in 1996 as the Monterey County CASA Association, Voices for Children was formed to make sure children placed in foster care receive the care and services they need to be safe and thrive, with the goal of finding the child a permanent home. Monterey County's first CASA was appointed in 1997. Since that time we've trained over 900 community volunteers and served over 1,000 children.
In addition to Voices for Children's direct services to children and youth in the foster care system, the organization provides community education and awareness concerning issues of child abuse, neglect and child welfare policy. Voices for Children is also committed to and strives for public policies that promote child abuse prevention and reforms in the Juvenile Foster Care and social welfare system.
