According to Kerber, " Students participating are from an alternative high school in the area and most are behind to graduate due to truancy, at risk behavior, drugs, fighting, gangs, etc. They are all good kids that need some special attention; since our mission is to inspire kids to learn and love reading and foster their creativity, helping them discover stop-motion animation is a fun and entertaining way to hold their attention. They are enjoying the interaction and are also very motivated to learn and be mindful of their resources! Stop-motion allows all sorts of artistic freedom, opening up a whole new world for these kids."
